Best known for his carefully curated partnerships and trustworthy reviews, we’re happy to say he has put his trust in us to provide his gaming glasses for the last few months and the results are amazing! We invited him down to our design labs to see for himself how the REGEN™ process works…

In your own words, who are REGEN™?

REGEN™ is a new eyewear brand that are making glasses specifically designed for gamers (but I also think they’re perfect for office workers and other people who stare at screens all day).

They’re the brainchild of the team responsible for creating, designing and producing glasses for many well known brands in the UK.

If you walk past someone in the street wearing designer glasses, there’s a very good chance the team behind REGEN™ made them. They’ve taken their wealth of experience from creating glasses for other brands and combined it all to create REGEN™ .

Why have you joined the ambassador team?

Before I became an ambassador, REGEN™ sent me a pair of their blue light blocking glasses to try.

I already had glasses with blue block in them so I didn't expect much difference, but I was actually shocked at how much easier it is for me to get to sleep now and how my eyes don’t get as dry when I’m streaming or recording all day.

Since becoming an ambassador, I’ve learnt that that was probably because my old glasses were only blocking about 5% of blue light, whereas the REGEN™ lenses block 40%.

It seemed like common sense to carry on wearing REGEN™ - and only natural to let my audience know how good they are. 

Where did your interest in Optometry and eye health come from? 

I’m someone who likes to learn about loads of random stuff, just for the sake of learning. So being a glasses wearer I’d took a bit of an interest in how and why my eyes don’t work and how and why my glasses do!

But I ended up with quite a bit more insight than the average glasses wearer from studying psychology at The University of York.

It’s a university focused heavily on neuroscience and the psychology department, at least when I was there, had a big focus on vision. How you eyes work, how your eyes interact with your brain, how you brain processes the information, visual disorders and much more…

What do you look for when buying a pair of prescription glasses? 

A few months ago I would have just answered “style and comfort”, but since joining REGEN™ I’d definitely add “and a lens that actually blocks a significant amount of blue light”.

Which are your favourite REGEN™ gaming glasses and why?

The ones I wear! Because they give me everything I mentioned that I look for.

I’m excited to see the business grow, because I think it’s something that can help a lot of people sleep better and feel healthier. Not just gamers, but like I said people who work in offices, and to be honest just everyone in modern society…we all spend far too long looking at screens.
